Yes I am very lucky to have these birds all around my house. :-) They are quite common and up to 5 different species live and migrate into this area, year around. I keep a feeder right near my window and can mount a camera about 1 foot away from it. The birds come and eat all day long about 5 feet from where I sit to watch and photograph them. :-)

Mar 15, 2010 - Oh, I suppose I should mention that I live in Santa Clarita, California (USA). Hummers are fairly common all over north and south America - the tropical species are the most varied and spectacular! :-)
